High quality ripe grapes with a range of subtle flavours as a consequence of the extended ripening period are characteristic of the Cabernet and Merlot grapes grown in the warmer sites in southern Tasmania. We select our fruit for this wine from a very suitable site and the winemaking process is focused on enhancing these fruit flavours with a balance of subtle oak. Our Cabernet-Merlot displays a full range of fruit and oak flavours in a soft unaggressive style reflecting the best features of fruit-driven Tasmanian cabernet wines in a "Bordeaux" wine style. The 2005 vintage proved to be very popular and sold out in about 10 months. The 2007 vintage was released in December 2007. |

Our Chardonnay Pinot Gris 2006 is a wonderful food wine - with and excellent fruit/acid structure! The wine is a blend containing about 10% Pinot Gris with the Chardonnay. This vintage has some similarities with both of the previous Chardonnay vintages. The Pinot Gris provides a fuller, rounder set of fruit flavours than is achieved with pure Chardonnay. This wine was awarded a Gold Medal (55.5 pts) at the recent 2008 Winewise Small Vigneron Wine Awards. |

Combining heady aromas, typical Pinot Noir varietal expression and the characteristics of our particular terroir, our Pinot Noir 2006 shows a wonderful fruit, tannin and acid balance. It is ready to drink now but will reward careful cellaring. Released in December 2007. |
